Rack 1

Kuo wins the lag but misses tight cut on the 1 ball, Wu misses same shot and then Kuo once again misses to open table up for Wu who clears up to go into the lead at 1-0.


Rack 2

Wu smacks open the pack and then gets out of trouble to pocket the 1 ball with an excellent jump shot. However, Wu makes his first mistake as he misses a long cut on the pink 4. Kuo plays a great positional shot from 5 to 7 to set up a rack winning out. 1–1.


Rack 3

Following a safety battle on the 1 ball, Kuo misses a relatively straightforward 2 ball to give table back to Wu who clears to go 2-1.


Rack 4

The first break and run of the match sees Wu extend his lead to 3-1.


Rack 5

With nothing available on the 1 ball, Wu pushes out and a safety exchange ensues. Kuo cracks first as he misses the 1 ball completely, trying to swerve and with ball in hand Wu tries a very risky 1/9 combo but falls well short. Kuo then lays a deadly snooker and Wu makes a mess of the escape and with ball in hand, Kuo takes advantage full with a 3/9 combo. 3-2.


Rack 6

A decent break from Kuo leaves him well placed, but a miss on the 2 ball allows Wu in to clear up. 4-2.


Rack 7

Wu snookers his opponent following the break off, but Kuo’s escape leaves a ball on. From there Wu clears up to increase his lead to 5–2.
